WEST MARINE ANNOUNCES ARRIVAL OF 2005 CATALOG AND LAUNCHES NEW
GEAR FEEDBACK PROGRAM

Watsonville, Calif. (March 1, 2005) - West Marine, Inc., the nation's
largest
specialty retailer of boating supplies, today announced the arrival of
its 2005
catalog, which features thousands of new boating products. With the
catalog, the company introduces its new "gear feedback" program
allowing
customers to write reviews of products online at westmarine.com and to
read
other boater's comments on more than 50,000 boating, fishing, sailing,
and
other water related products. The catalogs will be available at West
Marine
stores nationwide on March 1.

The new products featured in this year's catalog include the new
portable
GPS systems The Mariner 276C+ & 76C, West Marine's exclusive Print-on-
Demand Charts which provide up to the minute data and the inventive
Liquid
Force Wakeskate. The West Advisors, written candidly by several of West

Marine's product consultants, not only provide tips on how to select
best
product for your needs, but also address challenging issues such as
discharge
and teak surfing.

"We're excited to offer the West Marine 2005 catalog -often referred to
as
the "boating bible" - featuring the biggest and broadest selection of
boating
supplies and accessories," said Peter Harris, chief executive officer,
West
Marine. "Our customer's satisfaction is our top priority and because of
this we
are introducing the gear feedback program."

The gear feedback program was developed after West Marine Founder and
Chairman, Randy Repass, took his Wylie 65 cat ketch, Convergence on a
4,000-mile cruise to the South Seas. On the voyage Randy tested
hundreds
of products and sent back comments on what worked well, and what
didn't.
Now, West Marine is looking for additional feedback on its products
from its
customers.

West Marine will use feedback to help manufacturers produce more
reliable,
user-friendly products and manuals. The company strives to raise the
level of
attention paid to product reliability so that boaters have less hassle
and more
fun. To utilize "gear feedback," customers can go to westmarine.com and

write a product review on any product page to publicly advise other
consumers on the positive/negative qualities of a product. Just
click "Read/Write" next to the Shopper Rating. Or boaters can send
e-mail
directly to
.

Since it was by your own admission **obvious**, why the need to point
it out? At least Chuck ocassionally posts something about boats.

Occasionally is indeed the key phrase. Most is fluff or spam though.

What did West Marine pay you for that post Chuckles?

***********************

It's hard to keep track. A couple hundred thousand here, a couple
hundred thousand there, pretty soon it adds up to real
money.................

Seriously, JimH. What do you (really) think? WM doesn't need me to post
an announcement in a public forum. If you had an interest in boating,
you might enjoy knowing their catalog is out.
Sure isn't worth retyping something original for a mundane
announcement.

Don't you think this a bit TOO commercial, Chuck?

************************************************** ********

I was trolling for an Australian game fish. I thought the bait would be
foolproof, but no bite so far. :-)

And, for folks with an interest in boating, the WM catalog is a useful
resource. Even if one never buys anything from WM, they do offer a
broad view of the types of product oriented solutions available to
boaters.

Gee Chuck the deceptive spammer you need to set better bait than that;
how about you solicit for real email addresses from the innocents of
rec.boats?? like you did with your last spam???

I suppose I should be offended that you even imagine you'd catch me
that easily but upon reflection I accept it's about as good as you can
do, wish I could say nice try but .....

K

So enough of this Gould spam lets have the Krause lie of the day from
"the bride" series:-)

Krause has claimed to have a 20 yrs his junior beautiful wife, he even
put a fake pic of a beautiful woman on a website once
claiming it was his "young bride", he may have a wife, although
I doubt even that, we don't like nor tolerate misogynists for long.

Needless to say he's made up many "dramatic" over the top
stories over the years about this lie to feed his ego & pretend
he's the centre of attention, but as with his boat claims &
other crap, there's never once been even a shred of independently
verifiable material.

After he stalked Madcow in real life, which was most
frightening, I do suspect he's very very dangerous & that this
"bride" story is his delusional appropriation of his, probably
court ordered, treating psychotherapist as "wife" (it seems he
was under lock & key for what?? over a year??? a sexual deviant
maybe??), have a read of just a small part of his BS & make up
your own mind, it's all about free choice:-)

1. She *is* my bride. There are no rules that determine the
end of "bride-hood." If I want to refer to her as my bride, I may.

2. As a professional writer, I know the rules of language and am
entitled to break them in exercise of my license.

3. I doubt many married women would object to their husbands
lovingly referring to them as brides. The connotations are pleasant.

4. She's 20 years younger than I am.

Wayne,
My post was in reference to Dan's post saying "Isn't that a little too
commercial"? If you have a problem with highlighting the obvious, you need
to bring it up with Dan.
