I'm far from the Cat mechanic but if the timing is correct then the valves shouldn't hit! Check to make sure the pin is not sheared. Also, check that the other gear is OK. Make sure the engine is timed with the gears in the right position. On older chevy's if the engine was upside down on the stand when installing the gears, you could get them timed on the wrong side. |
