He worked for his spoils, they didn't fall in his lap unlike some
spoiled children who had everything handed to him.

Bush is a "butt boy" for the rich. Just because you hold that against
HT, doesn't make it untrue or, as you said, a piece of original
thinking.

He had many incredible insights as was proven over a lengthy history of
selling his creative efforts.

I recall when he, William Greider and PJ O'Rourke travelled to Little
Rock to meet the Democratic candidate for President, Bill Clinton.
Thompson wrote something about how Clinton buried his head in a basket
of fries and how he could make out a soft snorfling sound (like a pig
would make). I nearly fell out of bed laughing. He definitely had a
unique way of seeing the world.
