And that is 6% of the population Country: Belgium Population of Brussels: 1,122,000 Wow. Another liberal with a math impediment. Big surprise. 700/1,122,000=0.000623 That'd be roughly 0.06% of the population there, Einstein. 0.06% disapprove of him. I guess 99.04% of the population approve of him. Pretty good numbers, eh Jimcomma? ;-) Hey Jimcomma, remind me once again of your point. Do those who do not vote approve or disapprove of a candidate? What sort of demonstrations happen in NYC when a diplomat from a hated country like France arrives? Why change the subject you originally posted Jim? And you never answered my question. So remind me again....what was the point of your post? Simple enough question. The point is that Bush is less than popular in Brussels -- 700 demonstrators turned out -- staying home is NOT an endorsement of his politics, no mater how much you would like it to be. France is disliked by many Americans -- yet how many turn out to demonstrate against a french diplomat when he arives at the UN. The origional point is that BUSH is not popular in Brussels (or I suspect most of Europe). (and not all that popular in the US for that matter.) Latest I could find was Feb 11 An Associated Press poll finds adults, who were evenly divided on Bush's job performance in January, now disapprove by 54 percent to 45 percent. The number who think the country is headed down the wrong track increased from 51 percent to 58 percent in the past month. Well, those numbers really should affect his reelection chances in 2008. What's that? He can't run in 2008? Then who cares. From the recently released audio tapes (dating back to 1998): "It's me versus the world. The good news is, the world is on my side. Or more than half of it." And more than half the United States is on his side too. |
