All,
I have an '88 Bayliner Capri with a 5 liter (305ci) OMC I.O.. The engine is dead and I would like to replace it with GM 350 crate engine, Is the 305 block compatible with the 350 crate engine, as far as bolt on components, heads etc? Jerry W. 305 and 350 are the same block. Just different bore and stroke. Heads may or may not be interchangeable. Don't know for sure but I wouldn't try it without checking further than this newsgroup. May get a strange compression ratio. Barry |
