Whoooaaaa!! Let's not gloss over this one eh? After all, we are talking
about the impact of guns -- things that KILL -- in this thread.

From a 2000 New Zealand gov't study:

Murders per 100,000 population

USA: 5.5
CANADA: 1.8
NZ: 1.8
AUSTRALIA: 1.8

That would be a ratio of 3:1... I'm 3 times as likely to be killed in
the USA than in Canada (by NZ stats).
