Default 1984 Bayliner Trophy

Looking into purchasing a 1984 Bayliner Trophy 24'.

Has anyone heard of any issues with the Stringers or Transoms for this year?

Thanks.

You assume *nothing* on a 21-year old boat.

Lots of boats of that age have problems with stringers, transoms,
delam,...you name it.
The age and name brand alone mean little. Depending on how each boat
has been individually maintained, that Bayliner might be in better
shape than another boat under consideration from a more presitgious
manufacturer......(or not).

Yes, it happens a lot, all 20 y/o boats. Get a good survey from an
expert before investing a dime. The value of an '84 Bayliner is not
very high even if in perfect condition. Bargain hard, and be prepared
to walk away. There are a lot of good boats out there.

krause

I am sure you have owned several 1984 Bayliner Trophy,,,

Come on,, why change your response there krause,,,

Your typical response to someone's question about a certain boat is

"""" Yup,, I used to own a fleet of those boats,, loved them,, worked like a
charm,,, I had the 24 footer,, the 28 footer,,, the 65 footer for catching
blue crabs and vacuum packing them in my freezer,,, mmmmm,,,, yup,,, I had
the inboard the outboard,, the triple 300hp FICHTS,, and my best friend,,, I
forget his name,, but he had the same,, actually I bought them from him
right before he bought them back from me,,, good deal,, I only do good
deals,,, made money too,,, to feed the critters,,, """""""""

So krause,, why you changing your story this time,,,

Yeah.

Caveat emptor.

If you don't know how to check, hire a surveyor. In fact, hire one anyway.
