Can anyone tell me what I need to do to maintain my heat exchangers? I know
they are in need of some maintenance and I would like to find some instructions on how to clean them and with what, and replace the zincs. Thanks Houston |

I replace the zinc's on mine about every 6 months. Probably could go a year
but why push it. For tube cleaning I unbolt the ends and use a gun cleaning kit from Walmart. Clean them every few years or so. Also I change the antifreeze every few years or so. Take them to a radiator shop and have them boiled out and pressure tested.
You'll sleep better. Replace the pencil zinc (assuming you have one) when it's half gone. "Houston" wrote in message ... Can anyone tell me what I need to do to maintain my heat exchangers?
