Got a barge with 235,000 gallons of sulphuric acid overturned in Texas City.
The water is too acidic for divers (leaking out), so they're going to use a robotic arm to drill some holes in the barge and let the acid out into the bay. They say that since the acid readily mixes with water, it's not going to be very bad for the environment. I would guess that if you could transit the area, all your underwater metal and the insides of your raw water systems would be nice and shiney! Oh yea, and the reporter on TV just said that they hope to have the situation "neutralized". Hahahaha! I bet! |
