Default boat removal in the Bay Area

hi there,

I got an old baot in my slip and need to trash it. it is a coronado 27
build in 1972 and has not been sailed for a long time. engine and
outboard engine are probably not working anymore.

cannot donate since it is not worth anything.

didnt find a place that takes it yet (in the Bay Area)

Can anyone point me to a junk yard or who or whatever might take this
boat.

thanks,

larsinla

Rent a big dumpster. Put on goggles and a mask, and go after the old hulk with
a chain saw. You'll be absolutely amazed at how a large hull can be reduced to
small chunks and put into a big dumpster.

Better idea-
Get a big sledge hammer and a sign that says "1 Smack = 1 Dollar" and
get other people... like high school kids... to pay for the priviledge
of breaking it up for you.

Don't forget, the keel is lead and worth a lot of money.

In the Bay area it is probably defined as "hazardous waste." I am
surprised that it is still legal for boaters to put blocks of lead in
the Bay.
