Put it on www.boattrader.com and www.boats.com Both get more hits

Hey everyone,

I'm helping a friend sell his boat. I made a small webpage for it,
but is there any place online where I can post it? I searched around
for some forums and that sort of thing on the web but couldn't come
up with much.

If
you know of any place or have any suggestions as to how I could get
it

seen,
please respond. Thanks in advance!

-Chris

Boattrader.com by far the largest site for this. Fees are cheap and are
charged like a classified ad, not a % like ebay. The site can be searched
based on geography, type of boat, length, price, year, manufacturer, key
word of your choice or any combination of the foregoing. Right now, they
have 86,798 boats listed! Its a fantastic site and I sold my first boat on
the site and bought my second. When I sold my boat, it was noticed by
someone out of town, but who searched by town because they were coming here
on a boat buying trip. (they said there were no good boats for sale in
their town). When I searched to buy a boat, I limited it to areas I knew I
could get to and found a great one about 80 miles from my house. Hands
down, the boat should be listed here.

It's a link to a boat for sale. It's not a binary post or a penis enlargement
ad. It's far more on topic than about 50% of the posts here...

I'd no more suggest that a poster add more political and personal
attack crap here than I would suggest the post of advertisements for
boats, viagra, or pyramid schemes.

Why suggest making already bad, that much worse?

Well, either way... we ended up putting the boat up for auction on Ebay. I
have a feeling that it'll sell quickly at that price.

There are several online places where you can obtain free webpage hosting,
as long as you can tolerate their banner ads. I happen to be doing the same
thing right now, attempting to sell my cruiser. I placed an ad on
http://www.boattraderonline.com/ and included a link to a web page hosted by
http://www.tripod.lycos.com/.

If you would like to see my web page, check out:
http://rodm7.tripod.com/carvermariner/

The banner ads at the top of the web page were not put there by me, they
were put there by tripod. I find it amazing that three of the four banner
ads they placed on my boating related web page are for boating related
products!

Rod,
Nice boat, good pictures. May I suggest you list the size as well.
