The wind is called "Mariah".
Anyone know where this originated from besides the modern song?
Thanks

The song originated from the 1951 musical Paint Your Wagon and was later
made into a move.

Mariah is derived from the name Mary meaning exalted of God.

The connection comes from the wind being an instrument of God.
