Im going to be in the Cocoa Beach area the first week in
Dec.

Is the surf/pier fishing any good this time of year?

Thanks.

If it was me, I'd be thinking of wading into the Indian River. I haven't
fished that particular stretch, but farther south, snook, trout, and
redfish are all possible. You'll find more information he

http://www.floridasportsman.com/

Also, be advised, Florida used to require a salt water fishing license for
non-residents.

Florida Sportsman online has a "forum" section. Here's the link to the
"East Central" region: http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zeroforum?id=6

You'll have to register a username and password, but the guys on there can
give you specifics down to the best beach/jetty you should go to depending
upon tide, water temp, bait available, etc.

Best I could tell, the license was not required for salt water fishing off
the surf
or any structure connected to land.

Thanks!

Only if you're a Florida resident. If you're not a Florida resident, you
need a license...even to fish from land (beach, jetty, pier). The only
exception is if you're fishing from a pier that has a blanket license that
covers *all* people fishing from the pier.

If you need something to prove you're a resident, I have a bunch of leftover
voter registration cards that I don't need now that the election is over.

And the 58,000 absentee ballots that went missing? You wouldn't have any
information on that? ;-)

You just don't give up, do you. Suppose we all just agreed that the
election was a total fraud, that Kerry won fair and square. Would that
make you feel better?

Cry a river, build a bridge, and get the f*** over it!

Have you been fishing in the last month?

Nope. I *do* have the unpublished GPS coordinates to a new artificial reef
made up mostly of steel filing cabinets...but a fisherman protects his honey
holes.

Yea,
I see that now. Looks like I can get a 3 day for $6.50.
