Im going to be in the Cocoa Beach area the first week in Dec.
Is the surf/pier fishing any good this time of year?
If it was me, I'd be thinking of wading into the Indian River. I haven't
fished that particular stretch, but farther south, snook, trout, and
redfish are all possible. You'll find more information he

Also, be advised, Florida used to require a salt water fishing license
for
non-residents.
Best I could tell, the license was not required for salt water fishing off
the surf
or any structure connected to land.
Only if you're a Florida resident. If you're not a Florida resident, you
need a license...even to fish from land (beach, jetty, pier). The only
exception is if you're fishing from a pier that has a blanket license that
covers *all* people fishing from the pier.
If you need something to prove you're a resident, I have a bunch of leftover
voter registration cards that I don't need now that the election is over.
