Default Cuba

A few months ago, the President implemented even stricter rules governing
visits to Cuba. I am a Canadian with a Canadian registered boat planning to
visit Cuba next winter, but the new rules appear to include me if I leave
from USA.
Does anyone have any recent experience?

F#%k the USA.. Just leave and do what you want I say. Tell them you are
going to the Bahamas instead. Once you're in international waters in your
own boat WTF can the American government do about making decisions on your
"Canadian Registered" vessel -where you are subject to Canadian Law not
American.

I wouldn't mess with it, these guys indicted the organizers of an annual
regatta to Havana, a humanitarian effort. Not being an American citizen
dealing with American officials would be difficult at best. AFAIK, nothing
has changed regarding the current administration's policy.

I agree these zealots are not to be fooled with by the little guy.
Hopefully this siege will end in a couple more weeks and we can return to
a normal level of insanity.
