Bill I had a Dorsett runabout (14 ft/40 HP Mercury Thunderbolt) many years
ago...maybe the most honestly best built boat I've had..no not in materials
maybe but in structural integerity...Heck it was a 1958 hull/motor and I
bought it in 1988 or 89. No rot, decent hardware....I actually regret selling
her, my family had a lot of fun on her. Some place I have a collection of old
boat publications, let me know what year hull you have and I'll get to digging.

I have a 1960 catalina with 85hp evinrude. I dont know what the max is this is one that came with the boat. I was at a boat show today and there was one other 1960 Catalina with a 60hp Johnson. What do have now? They are sure nice boats. I,ve sure had fun with mine over the years.
