I keep my boat in Deale. If I had my way, I'd own a place down around
Solomon's
Island. The fishing is invariably better there than further north. What is
it
you want to do on the water? If cruising and visiting different ports is
your
bag, then there are many nice places to go in the mid-bay area, around
Annapolis.

I'll have to check Deale out on the map. I live in the harrisburg pa area
and of course, we don't want to go too far so I can shoot over there on a
friday afteroon and make it in like 3-4 hours. My main thing is cruising.
Sure, I'd prolly fish a little too but it's not my primary objective. I'd
love to get a displacement hull type boat with a diesel...or repower it with
a diesel. Something in the range of 30-35 feet. We'd like to sleep on it
occasionally. I don't know if such a thing exists. I'm a river rat, so to
speak. About 20 years on the Susquehanna. Totally GREEN to big boats....

If you need a map of the area that will be worthwhile, go to West Marine
and buy
a chart. It may take two or three to get from Baltimore down to Solomon's,
but
you'll definitely have the detail you want.

Ah, great idea....I found a couple on the internet as well..but they do not
seem very "complete".

Thanks!!

On the 'PocoLoco' out of Deale, MD,
on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay!

There are 10 kinds of people in the world,
those who can do binary and those who can't!
