Even an anti-U.S. organization can recognize the good done by American action, so why not American media? John Gaquin wrote: Because to do so would validate GWB - unacceptable to network media. Yeah, that must be why there was about a half hour story on NPR about the Afghan election yesterday. As for the UN taking notice, maybe it's a sign that the U.N. isn't and "anti-US" as you think. BTW- a lot more countries are "anti-US" since GWB started antagonizing, insulting, and bullying them. Think about that for a moment. DSK |

Yeah, that must be why there was about a half hour story on NPR about the Afghan election yesterday. I never said there was *no* coverage, just there there has been very little consistent reporting of the good things that our troops are accomplishing. As for the UN taking notice, maybe it's a sign that the U.N. isn't and "anti-US" as you think. Doubtful. The UN will acknowledge events that make the US look good if A) they have no other choice on the world stage or B) there's money in it. BTW- a lot more countries are "anti-US" since GWB started antagonizing, insulting, and bullying them. Think about that for a moment. Already have, and disregarded. Pretty much a red herring. Most of these countries would have polled as anti US prior to the war in response to any number of issues. |
