Default Crusing plan change

About two months ago, my 17 yr old daughter was diagnosed with
melanoma that had progressed to be surprisingly deep. This caused my
cruising plans to totally change since we were not sure of the extent
of the melanoma and hence her chances of survival. Following
extensive testing, we are now almost sure it did not progress any
further than the initial site so we are greatly relieved. This sort
of puts some of my plans back on but I find that now I really do not
want to be away from my kids for very long. A 28' boat is really too
small for 5 people for any more than a weekend so am not sure what to
do.

Don't rush to any conclusions. The fear will wear off.

Sorry to hear about your daughter...but I'm happy to hear of the
prognosis:-)

I would "poll" the participants and also weigh your OWN concerns about
having 5 people aboard a 28' vessel. The fact that you brought it up tells
me your not sure either:-)

I just got off a 9 day cruise from NY to Tortolla(and other islands)and we
took our 2 kids. We booked a suite for 4 but I was ready to move out on the
2nd night...and this was on a 1063' liner!!

Good luck in your decision:-)
