Why does Canada need a submarine fleet?

Take care.

Tom

Enforce fishing regulations, intercept smugglers etc. We do have a long
coastline..east, west and arctic. The US navy encouraged us also. Seems
they wanted to practice their equipment on very quiet diesel/electrics.

Those smugglers are probably already scared to death to be chased down
(or should we say "floated down") by these subs! HAHAHAHAHA ;)

So that when the Muslim extremists take control of the Canadian government,
they'll be ready to invade the USA...

In submarines?

All the best,

The last one purchased actually currently uses ZERO gph, a new record.

Idiot. If you had your way, you'd bomb everything and everybody that
doesn't have a Bush/Cheney sticker. You know they are traitors, if
they don't have one, right?

Nuke'em NOYB is quite a piece of work. Right now we have four cruise ships,
including the QM2, docked at our downtown. If he bombed us, he'd be killing
thousands of his fellow citizens.

Maybe we should have picked up a couple from the Russians.

Maybe Canada should have been more on top of things, such as technical, QA
and QC specifications as well as acceptance testing.

Or get the hint from the fact that the brits put these lemmons out of
service very quickly...

But be assured that some canadian decission makers have very full bank
acounts now ..

We got suckered by a low ball offer...but now the costs of updating to
Canadian standards are adding up.

I'd say someone pocketed a lot of money for approving that deal ...

and they failed to upgrade to important canadian standards like:

1. Motor runs
2. Doesnt self ignite

NYOB,
How about if you first take out all the liberal wackos in rec.boats?

Once
you have purged rec.boats you can then bomb Nova Scotia.

PS while you are at it, bomb the French Canadians also.

Make sure Don White is there when you do it.

Do you think you could find me?? Canada is a lot bigger than Afghanistan
and you still haven't found your quarry there.
I'm feeling pretty safe.

Before we get carried away: I was wondering how you "bomb" with a sumbarine ;)

Never buy anything british.

Why?

You are kidding, right?

An electrical fire. Duh! Look in the dictionary under Lucas and you'll
probably see a picture of *some* sort of vehicle burning.

IMHO, british=poor quality.... and that includes high priced crap like
Rolls Royce .... the last one I rode in squeaked like a buggy and Land
Rover....

That's a pretty broad brush you are using there Gene.

I can list not one but thousands of defects in American made products
resulting in property damager or physical injury. Does one then conclude
that all American products are crap?

Well, I for sure would be a little hesitant buying their diesel subs ! ;)

Yeah.....right! Meanwhile, Smith & Hawken has spectacular spades & forks,
made in England, for $50-$60. My ex-wife has the 25 yr old steel versions we
bought together, without a speck of rust or a dent in their ash handles. How
does this Florian outfit get away with $215.00? :-) I think it's because
they're located in Martha Stewart territory.
