Those four subs Britain sucked us into buying keep getting worse. http://novascotia.cbc.ca/regional/se...coutimi2004100 6 Maybe we should have picked up a couple from the Russians. Maybe Canada should have been more on top of things, such as technical, QA and QC specifications as well as acceptance testing. We got suckered by a low ball offer...but now the costs of updating to Canadian standards are adding up. |

I'm sorry that one of the crew died, but as I was reading that article I parsed the Captain's name as Luc Picard. :) Man, I need to get a life. Later, Tom |

Never buy anything british. Why? You are kidding, right? An electrical fire. Duh! Look in the dictionary under Lucas and you'll probably see a picture of *some* sort of vehicle burning. IMHO, british=poor quality.... and that includes high priced crap like Rolls Royce .... the last one I rode in squeaked like a buggy and Land Rover.... That's a pretty broad brush you are using there Gene. I can list not one but thousands of defects in American made products resulting in property damager or physical injury. Does one then conclude that all American products are crap? |

Personally, I don't know of any british products I would own. I do own many American products that have proven to be safe and of good value. If you wish to conclude that American products are flawed, present an imminent danger, and are not of good value, I suggest you buy british. Come to think of it.... I'll bet you could get one hell of a deal on a Canadian registered, british made, sub lying off the coast of Ireland. -- Quick, look up Gene.....the point of my post just flew over your head. |
