All the best, Bush has had many opportunities to improve substantially and dramatically conditions for the returning injured GIs, whose service makes him so proud. -- We today have a president of the United States who looks like he is the son of Howdy Doody or Alfred E. Newman, who isn't smarter than either of them, who is arrogant about his ignorance, who is reckless and incompetent, and whose backers are turning the United States into a pariah. What, me worry? |

Bush has had many opportunities to improve substantially and dramatically conditions for the returning injured GIs, whose service makes him so proud. There hasn't been a strong Veterans Affairs since the inception of a cabinet level Secretary during the Bush 41 administration. And when it was part of the Department of Defense, it was worse. At least under Bush 43, the total increase will surpass in four years what Clinton did in eight. The factoid is that the rate of increase is being cut - the amount is still more than the previous years. And that' s a fact Harry, not some made up bull****. It' still not enough. The fact that the rate of increase being cut is bothersome, but it is still being increased over last year rather than cut from last years total. I've will be making my fourth trip to Walter Reed in another week. Just paying something forward if you will. The work that they are doing there is amazing. You ought to go sometime and spread a little cheer. Take care. Tom "The beatings will stop when morale improves." E. Teach, 1717 |
