Stunned that their candidate came across as a barely literate nincompoop? Why? That's what he is... I'd be worried about the internals Harry. Nevermind, I'm sure you are. I'm not a huge fan of polls, Wally, but...I do look at them. I think the latest Newsweek poll *may* well be indicating a shift. I hope so. What is encouraging is that Bush was so bad during the debate, and I mean really bad, and that 60+ million Americans saw how inept he was. That will stick in the minds of those who are barraged with spin commercials from the GOP in the coming weeks. The debate this coming week should be interesting. Bush has tremendous weaknesses on domestic policy issues. About all he will be able to talk about are tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts. He has no plan or vision for the future of this country, and no answers for the great challenges confronting us. Now, hopefully he'll be able to be a bit more articulate but the reality is, he isn't very articulate. And Kerry is. In this troubling times, it helps to have an articulate POTUS. |
