Default A unique boat...

In a local shop's repair line:

The registration was blurred to protect the innocent.

Or in this case, the slightly off center.

That's one of the funniest things I've seen in quite awhile.

Gotta give the guy credit, unlike most of the losers here - he DOES have a
boat.
Bet he uses the hell out of it too.....

Looks like something Halliburton would sell us...for %5 million.

incompetent, and whose backers are turning the United States into a pariah.

What, me worry?

The whole thing is home made - the only manufactured bit is the large
scanoe which was glassed - everything else was made.

I would have included the picture of the electronics, but take my word
for it - there is some rather sohpisticated electronics on that thing.
:)

According to the Service Manager, he does use the hell out of it.

I would NEVER have guessed a watercraft as sleek as that would be the result
of a do it yerselfer!
If he was smart he would go into production on those....odds are he would
have that market segment all to himself.
PLEASE post a pic of the electronic suite...I'll bet it rivals the new
carrier Ronald Reagan!!!

This one case where the pictures do it a lot of good. :)

But it floats - that's the important thing.

There is another guy who has a boat similar to this who uses it in
Long Island Sound - the outriggers are a bit wider and bigger than
this one. I have heard, second hand, that he's even been sited out at
the Race with the thing. I don't go there in my Ranger. :)

Undoubtly all to himself.

Well, I wish I could, but there is a lot of stuff that identifies the
owner in/on/around the console and I don't want to do that. Let's
just say that behind that glass windshield is an all color suite,
mapping gps, fish finder, flasher, radio, vhf....really nifty looking.

All the best,

Tom

Is that a four stroke or HPDI? In either case, how do you like the
motor?

The reason I ask is that I stumbled into one hell of a deal on two
Yamaha 225 HPDI motors yesterday. I'm considering changing the FICHTS
on the Contender this winter (a friend who is in the commercial
fishing bizz wants them - his are flat worn out) and I was thinking
about new E-TECS or FICHTS, but these Yamaha's are just too good a
deal.

Any advice?

Mine is a four stroke, and the motor has been fine. No problems
whatsoever. At idle you can barely tell it is running. At cruise and
higher, it seems about as loud as any other outboard of similar hp.

I don't know much about the hpdis, other than I see a lot of them out on
the bay.
