Gould and Doug would prefer to use their gut feeling instead of the
University of Michigan's long term study of voters trends and attitudes.

Don't know about Doug, but Gould learned a long time ago that you can find a
study to support *any* conclusion.

I was listening to a radio show today in which an author was discussing a
previous book "What's the Matter with Kansas?" This author has done an
extensive study that shows that much of the Republican support comes from
working class whites who routinely vote *against* their economic self interest
to be on the "Godly" side of the "big four":
(God in school, guns, gays, and abortion).
The author had a convincing study that showed the higher a person's income, the
*less* likely they were to support George Bush.

I could do the research to creat a link, but then we'd have dueling websites,
or dueling studies. Proving nothing.

If you cannot express your own opinon or form your own thoughts, then I suppose
the thoughts and opinions of the University of Michigan are as good a
substitute as any.
