The ANES survey conducted by the University of Michigan agrees with my
premise..
Can you point to *which* survey?

This is an interesting website, but your link just goes to the home page.
I did not find any mention of a study or report on education level, income
and party affiliation.
About 36% of Republicans graduated from college while about 28% and 23%
of
Independents and Democrats, respectively, graduated from college.
Supposing that there is a study saying this, does that mean it is
conclusively proven?
... About 59%
of Republicans made over $35,000 a year while only 50% and 35% of
Independents and Democrats, respectively, made over $35,000 a year.
Not a surprise.
OTOH I wonder what percentage of people living in mobile homes are voting
for Bush.
Again, the ANES is not interested in either political party, they are
just
trying to track long term political trends.
I found a number of interesting studies on their web site. However, even
if (and it's not proven yet) they have made study such as you claim, then
that is evidence but hardly proof. Meanwhile, spin on!
