Anchors are SUPPOSED to drag?

yup, according to a couple of real yo-yos on ths ng. if the anchor doesn't
move you haven't set it properly. anchors are *required* to move.

my goodness! are those clowns on two-tone green pills or something????

or maybe they have been sniffing too much of that gasoline that has no oxygen
atoms?

yuk.

Doodles, reading your "cut and dried" mathematical, from the book, approach to
anchoring, makes it real obvious, really quickly that most of your knowledge on
the subject comes from books or magazines.

Apparently Jox has never used an anchor. Either that or lack of oxygen
to his brain is having an effect.

schlackoff, one of the yo-yo's who insists an anchor is supposed to drag, steps
right up for all to see.

Jox's oxygen deprivation has removed his ability to understand the
difference between something that ideally would not move, but does move
in the real world. Apparently he's never anchored anywhere with a tidal
current or where the wind changes direction.

schlackoff, once again caught being stew ped, flip-flops thusly below.

so, schlack which is it? an anchor is SUPPOSED to move (so it doesn't break
the chain and/or deck chocks), or it is not supposed to move (and so does break
the chain and/or decks chocks under certain storm conditions)?

See if your CO soaked pea brain can understand this: an anchor is not
supposed to move but under certain conditions, it does. If you're
anchoring in a bad storm and only have one anchor out, you're asking for
trouble no matter what kind of rode you use. If you're anchoring in a
bad storm and don't have enough scope, your anchor will break out no
matter what you use for rode. If you know what you're doing (and
obviously you don't) you can anchor safely with all chain rode or mixed
rode.

Does an anchor move or not?

only if it is set by a criminally negligent dumb **** trying to get his faggot
ass sent jail for several years.

nope. 10 to 1 on chain breaks the anchor loose, while 6 to 1 on nylon doesn't.

sorry, dood, dem's da physics. which, of course, you don't understand anything
except you wanna kill and/or injure someone. you wanna go to jail, dood.
have fun with the 300# drug dealer, dood. you are going to be there a couple
years.

The only thing you know about drag, JaxAss, is selection of "outfits" in
your closet.

We today have a president of the United States who looks like he is the
son of Howdy Doody or Alfred E. Newman, who isn't smarter than either of
them, who is arrogant about his ignorance, who is reckless and
incompetent, and whose backers are turning the United States into a pariah.

What, me worry?
