Have not heard from Skippy lately. Is he busy trying to con (oops) get a
test ride on the idea that he may buy it for retirement cruising. bill "Michael Sutton" wrote in message m... Oh yes, and a spec I should ask about. How many tons of fuel per nautical mile? As I posted earlier, approximately 4 nm per ton of fuel oil... So, assuming 6 lbs per gallon, then we have 4nm per 333.33 gallons, or 83 gallons per nm, or around 72 ft per gallon... I would suggest taking out that uneffecient old 1940's oil burning propulsion system and replace it with a nice thermo-nuclear reactor system. That way you don't have to refuel every thousand miles and can easily go 20 years before having to refuel. |
