Be the envy of the marina, size does matter!. With 17,500 tons you can be sure that dingy won't hinder your progress.

Good grief.

I mean talk about spam. You guys with used aircraft carriers for sale will do
anything to put your offering in front of a group of likely propsects!

I do have a buyer in mind. A dentist down in FLA. He's a staunch Republican, so
money should be no object. Odds are extremely good there's a dental compartment
already aboard somewhere, so he can dodge across the Atlantic at 25 knots, do a
couple of weeks worth of charity dentistry off of (where else?) the Ivory
Coast, take a short detour to the Med
....(not to be confused with taking his meds)...on the way home, and write the
entire thing off as a charitable enterprise.

Even with a lucrative dental practice, he ought to be able to carry some of the
$4.5mm forward for a year or two. :-)

One problem, the sale might be subject to the buyer securing an acceptable slip
in his local marina.

Oh yes, and a spec I should ask about. How many tons of fuel per nautical mile?
:-)

LOL!

The Queen Mary requires two gallons of diesel per foot of travel.
Perhaps the carrier is a "small block"?

Is trailer included? I would guess the trailer, if included, is a three
axle?

I think I might need a bigger air compressor to get the proper tire
inflation on that trailer!

As I posted earlier, approximately 4 nm per ton of fuel oil...

So, assuming 6 lbs per gallon, then we have 4nm per 333.33 gallons, or 83
gallons per nm, or around 72 ft per gallon...

Not bad fuel economy. Read somewhere that either the liner Queen Elizabeth
Queen Mary got 6" (yes: inches) per gallon.

I would suggest taking out that uneffecient old 1940's oil burning
propulsion system and replace it with a nice thermo-nuclear
reactor system.
That way you don't have to refuel every thousand miles and can
easily go 20 years before having to refuel.

Have not heard from Skippy lately. Is he busy trying to con (oops) get a
test ride on the idea that he may buy it for retirement cruising.
