Can I install a regular car deck (am-fm-cd player) in my NAME YOUR BOAT
HERE... Of course you can and if you do a decent installation (NO wire nuts or twisted wiring with electrical tape, etc and some splash protection) it will last for years. Damn, it's a stereo system, not a liferaft or gps! The SONY system adapeted from my sons car has lived in my cabin (in a salt water marina) for 6 years...still works fine! Good luck Mike |

Thanks to all for input! Stereo/CD Player is now installed and
working great! Will still go to Home Depot to buy and on/off switch to kill all power from the 12V battery (not a big deal if I loose presets and accurate clock) when boat is not used for more than 2 weeks. Andre |

Andre Go to a boat store and buy yourself a marine battery switch. -- Not dead, in jail, or a slave? Thank a liberal! And don't forget to pay your taxes so the rich don't have to! |

Battery switches for boats must be explosion-proof (ignition protected) and you
won't find that at HOME DEPOT! Try your local boat supply place or WEST MARINE or OVERTONS or??? A good Marine switch is cjeaper than the fire that can result if you don't use one! Mike |
