OK,
I bought a new battery, the old one was dead. But I was sort of suspecting a charging system problem. Sure enough, there must be one. Next step: figuring out what is wrong. I checked the new battery (duh...) it'w working. So, i fired up the old workhorse and checked the input side of the voltage regulator with an AC multimeter. No voltage in on that side. Can someone tell me, should I expect that the stator is bad? Gees I hope not, it's gonna cost some big bank. I priced one at around $175. So is it the stator? If not, where do I check next? (Don in Austin Texas) wrote in message . com... I need to know if someone can tell me what the output voltage should be on a '92 Force outboard 120HP. I want to check to see if it's charging, but what should the voltage be? And, if it is not charging on the output side, what should the input voltage be? Thanks |
