I like that saying about the waste, noise and so on bomar. Words to live
by. We should make that our motto.

It's my money and I'll spend it as I damn well please!

Buck,
Wish I could have made it to the LOTO Shootout......just too far and too
much going on.

99% of the posters here would **** their pants at the sound of screaming
502's running WOT across the water, then have a stroke when the see the

boat
being trailed home by a F350 Diesel Superduty Crew Cab 4x4.

The waste!
The noise!
The safety!
The environment!

Long live conspicuous consumption!!!!

Yes, you all know who you are....lol....
What a bunch of stay-at-home PUSSIES you all are! You need your fat

old
decrepit asses kicked, IF you could find them with both hands!

On the other hand, three cheers to those stalwarts that keep wading

thru
the
o/t bull**** and post about BOATS!

Bajaman...your posts will fall on deaf ears when it comes to this

subject
here. You and I both know that.

If you want to get a rise out of them post something good. Try telling

them
how you went boating this weekend in your boat that has two LARGE V8s in

it
with switchable exhaust that you run open whenever possible. Tell them

that
you did this with about fifty other performance boaters who did the same
thing. Tell them that all fifty of you did while paying taxes and

breathing
the same damn air that they do. This usually strikes a raw nerve around
here. LOL

So, did anyone make it to the LOTO Shootout this weekend. There were

some
impressive speeds recorded again this year.

Buck

Funny you should say that Harry. Having driven many sizes, styles, and
types of boats I can assure you there is A LOT more skill involved in
operating one of these than anything you have in your so called collection.

I've driven my share of really fast boats, going way back to the 1950s
and 1960s. My dad built the fastest outboard boats that ran on Long
Island Sound at that time, these were hydros and utilities, and he also
was a dealer for a while for the Ancarrow Marine Aquaflyer (I'm sure
I've misspelled part of that boat's branding). It was a high speed
inboard runabout, powered by twin V8 Caddy Crusaders. Came with a
guarantee to do 60 mph plus...and it did.

In more recent years, I've driven 80 mph bass boats (not a lot of fun),
and a couple of high-power Fountains and Stepps. I liked the latter,

I find ultra fast boats noisy, uncomfortable and not particularly fast,
in real terms. I've driven cars and motorcyles that are faster than any
boat you've ever been in, eh?

For a really high-skill experience, learn how to sail competitively in
an International 14 or, better yet, master the French horn.

Not really... it takes a lot of skill for Harry to keep his boats from going
down the drain when his nurse pulls the plug.

Buck-
We **** away more $$$ on boating in a weekend that most of the owners of
imaginary boat here spend on rent on their decrepit house trailers....
One way to look at it is we are doing our part to keep the Arabs happy and
quiet.
Just think how ****ed off they would be if we weren't buying all that oil.
Gonna be a great day today weather wise......think I'll head over to the
lake and burn a bunch of 93 octane.

Buck-
The more they **** and moan about the noise the more tempted I am to buy a
boat with dry headers.
Wonder if Rouge could whip me up some loudeners for my boat?
We did manage to burn a ****load of 93 octane this holiday weekend, and a
tanker of diesel for the tow vehicle to boot.
Just trying to do my share for the environment.
