You didn't have to be from Texas to be priviledged enough to be granted a deferment from the military. You could have been from...oh...say...Arkansas. And your uncle could have been a well-connected individual with a line to the ear of someone at Senator Fulbright's office. That'd make you priviledged, too, don't you think? |

I wonder if the aide to former Senator Fulbright is ashamed for getting a deferment for our country's 42nd President? |
