Default OT BushCo FINALLY admits global warming

I just LOVE it....I wonder what all of you righties, who, here in this
very newsgroup, condemmed science, saying that global warming was made
up by mad scientists.

U.S. report on warming puts blame on humans
White House shifts view on the causes of greenhouse gases

Andrew C. Revkin, New York Times
Thursday, August 26, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new report to Congress focuses on federal research indicating that
emissions of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases are the only
likely explanation for global warming over the past three decades, a
striking shift in the way the Bush administration has portrayed the
science of climate change.

In delivering the report to Congress on Wednesday, an administration
official, James Mahoney, said it reflected "the best possible
scientific information" on climate change. Previously, President Bush
and other officials had stressed uncertainties in understanding the
causes and consequences of warming as a reason for rejecting binding
restrictions on heat-trapping gases.

Unfortunately, Bush's golf buddies in the utility business won't let him do
a damned thing about it.

The right wing trash in this country doesn't care about fact, just
their political religious conservative close-minded agenda...they'll
just lie about facts and say that facts are all lies developed by
liberal pinko scientists....lies like evolution...everyone knows we
were created just like it said in the bible.

Nothing can be done for people with this mindset...this is the sort
of fanatic blind mindset that drives the ultra-religious arab
terrorists. The redneck conservative assholes in this country dont see
the correlation, which makes them just like the arabs they hate so
much. Religion, thoughtless conservative mindset, hate...all go hand
in hand. The years of Catholics hating Protestants in Ireland,
Palestinians hating the Israelis...and on and on....they never learn.

Just now it's the conservatrash religious Americans hating the
religious fanatic Arab trash.

Why does JohnC only show up when Harry is reportedly out cruising on his
custom 36 foot lobster boat?

First, he said it was too soon to blame CO2 as a cause IF there was indeed
global warming. IN MY OPINION, The output of the sun and it's cycles need
to be looked at FIRST.

Green house gases are created by (in order of the volume produced);
Termites, Cows, powerplants, cars, bacteria, other animals including man.

And reports to Congress need to be looked at with a scepticle eye depending
on who wrote then and the political agenda behind the commission of the
report. I personally wouldn't beleave ANY report generated during an
election year!

Has been.

Termites, Cows, powerplants, cars, bacteria, other animals including man.

It's not the amount of various greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, but
the potential for heat trapping of each. Granted, there is a much
greater concentration of CO2 and Methane, than CFC's, BUT, what little
CFC concentrations are found have a far greater heat trapping
potential. There are many of these gases that are found in small
concentrations, but have a huge potential, such as low level ozone,
Methyl Chloroform, N20, and on and on.

And reports to Congress need to be looked at with a scepticle eye depending
on who wrote then and the political agenda behind the commission of the
report. I personally wouldn't beleave ANY report generated during an

Why is that? These findings have been around for years, it's just that
the republicans choose to pull their collective blinders tight!

asslicker has been drinking the kerry kool-aid for too long

"Richard Lindzen, Ph.D., a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and one of the 11 scientists who prepared the NAS report (and who
also contributed to the UN's International Panel on Climate Change), has
said so - repeatedly. He has said there were a wide variety of scientific
views presented in the report and "that the full report did, [express a wide
variety of views] making clear that there is no consensus, unanimous or
otherwise, about long-term climate trends and what causes them." The same is
true of the all of the U.N.'s IPCC studies to which many reporters refer.
Claims that scientific opinion is nearly unanimous on the subject of global
warming are wrong. The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine received
signatures from over 17,100 basic and applied American scientists -
two-thirds with advanced degrees - to a document saying, "There is no
convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane
or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future,
cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the
Earth's climate."

I was wondering why he was making generalization and categorizing everyone
into his own little preconceived notion. I want to see his proof of this
statement. ; )
