Default info needed on Sunbird Corsica 188

I would like to get a little info on the Sunbird Corsica 188 cuddy
from around 1990. I am amazed that I can find very little reference to
it on the web or even in newsgroups. Most of the very few hits were in
a language I can't read (OK, that just means they weren't in English).
I would like to hear from owners or former owners about likes,
dislikes, known problems, etc. An acquantance has a 1990 that has been
marina kept and maintained since purchase and very low use that they
are almost giving to me. That is great as long as it doesn't become a
money pit and is at least semi-enjoyable. The little I did find lets
me know that Sunbird is out of business, it was bought by OMC who
discontinued the brand, OMC was then bought by Bombardier (sp?), who
then discontinued the OMC out-drives. Not a pretty start to this story
I then saw a number of opinions that Sunbird was a low-end boat
with some hating and others loving the boats in general. There were
opinions that the 4 cyl., 130 hp I/O was badly underpowered for the
size of the boat. Almost nothing on the Corsica 188 Cuddy though. Any
help or comments would be appreciated. A link to or scan of a spec
sheet, pictures, etc. would be nice, too.

Thanks

Dave Hall
