I am part owner is a boat rental/charter company in Florida.
We buy Crest boats because they hold up better then most. Look underneath for: Broken welds, corroded parts and floor rot. Check electrical for operation and corrosion. Have a mechanic check out the engine. Check the trailer for bearings, springs, bunks, wench, hitch and lights. Capt. I'm assuming: hours on engine leaks (would these be detectable on a test run?) wood rot (if wood floor) Others would be obvious, condition of interior, etc. What else? Tom |
