"mijoy" wrote in message ... I vented about my 100hp Yamaha oputboard with 900 hours on them, both, requiring major engine repairs in another thread. I got a very humorous reply about how I "must have bought a lemon". BWAHAHAHAHA. Got me thinking though, is 900 hours a lot of hours for a $8000-9000 engine? I dunno. What kind of maintenance schedule did you follow? Maybe my expectations are too high. But darn, if I put 300 hours a year on my boat, should I only expect the engines to last about 3 years? Is the very funny gentleman who replied correct? I'm really not that funny. And not very bright, either. You are making assumptions here, and don't know crap about the application, maintenence, etc., etc., but think you can automatically make the claim that he "bought a lemon"? |
