"mijoy" wrote in message ... I vented about my 100hp Yamaha oputboard with 900 hours on them, both, requiring major engine repairs in another thread. I got a very humorous reply about how I "must have bought a lemon". BWAHAHAHAHA. Got me thinking though, is 900 hours a lot of hours for a $8000-9000 engine? I dunno. What kind of maintenance schedule did you follow? Maybe my expectations are too high. But darn, if I put 300 hours a year on my boat, should I only expect the engines to last about 3 years? Is the very funny gentleman who replied correct? I'm really not that funny. |
