Raises the bar pretty high. Let's see if Kerry can also rise above attack politics here on out. If he does, the nation will notice the contrast when the R's use their convention to badmouth and smear Kerry and Edwards. The technique is likely to backfire on the side using it- if the other side doesn't reciprocate. Giving your partisan crystal ball a go at it again. Too bad it is giving you false outlooks. Want to wager? Absolutely!! I'd LOVE to wager that the Republicans will smear the Kerry/Edwards ticket at their convention. Just what would you like to wager? There was plenty of smearing of the Administration last night. So I guess Chuck has lost already. You can send the salmon (smoked and on ice) to me anytime Chuckster. |

Chuck has lost already. You can send the salmon (smoked and on ice) to me anytime Chuckster. Send me your address and I'll send you some smoked salmon. Not because I lost the bet: (you never accepted the bet or stated what stakes you offered on your end). Not because Bush/Cheney made it all the way through their convention without attacking the Demos: (which was the specific subject of the bet). But because some pure food from unpolluted waters might do just a bit to help clarify your often fuzzy perspectives. Can't e-mail fish, so send me an address. (will be holding my breath) :-) |

While the offer sounds tasty I will pass for reasons I care not to post here. |

There is very little commercial fishing done in Puget Sound, which is an inland estuary of the Pacific Ocean. Nice try though, and being from back in the mudwets, nobody would expect you to know any better. |

I don't know where you live though other than somewhere in Washington. So I took a shot and was wrong. So shoot me. The point is that just about every major waterway in the US is polluted to one degree or another, your area of the Pacific being no exception. ;-) |

Looks like a pretty active commercial salmon fishing site to me Chuck: http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/commregs/salregs.htm http://www.seattlesalmoncharters.com/fisheries-news.htm But I guess the pollution in the Sound has caused a decline in the salmon population: http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/s...04/story4.html http://www.wdfw.wa.gov/factshts/pschin.htm |
