Raises the bar pretty high.

Let's see if Kerry can also rise above attack politics here on out.

If he does, the nation will notice the contrast when the R's use their
convention to badmouth and smear Kerry and Edwards. The technique is likely to
backfire on the side using it- if the other side doesn't reciprocate.

If we're finally to the point where the electorate will respond to a positive
message rather than to "my opponent sucks, my opponent sucks, my opponent
sucks" hope may indeed be on the way. :-)

Interesting. First link quotes an old buddy of mine...Bill Maden. We were
all regulars at the YMCA weightlifting room when he and a few others dreamed
up that Polar Bear foolishness in the late 60's. I quickly put distance
between myself & that loony bunch. Imagine...New Years day swimming in
Halifax Harbour. Wasn't sure what was worse..polution or water temperature.
Come on down now...you'll see lots of construction to finally help cleanup
that mess.

I've been to Maryland, Harry. If Cleveland is the armpit, then Maryland is
