I agree that we don't want to censor the posts, but it is so tiresome wading through all the political posts :-( Matt Tiresome? Serious question: do you have all your faculties? If there are 100 posts some days in rec.boats, I read about 25 of them, and simply skip over the ones I don't want to read. Takes a couple minutes to read the posts I want to read and post if I feel like it. Methinks these complaints are much ado about nothing. Methinks you don't want anybody to miss your posts. ![]() If you're only seeing 100 per day, get a better newsserver. rec.boats, on newscene, usually turns 500 a day, or more. Regards, noah To email me, remove the "OT-" from wrecked.ot-boats.noah. ...as you were. ![]() I didn't state I was only seeing 100 a day, I stated that if there were 100 a day, I only read about 25 of them. If there are 500 a day, I might read 35 or 50. There are any number of posters whose stuff I simply skip over for one reason or another. Or message strings I skip entirely. Or I only read a couple of posts from particular posters (Dave Hall, for example), because the posters are so demented no purpose is served by reading more than a dribble or two. Harry, I've read about your boats (the Parker being the most recent), and I've posted to you a few times, but I've never gotten the feeling that you encouraged or invited friendship in this newsgroup. Am I correct? Regards, noah To email me, remove the "OT-" from wrecked.ot-boats.noah. ....as you were. ![]() |
