....courtesy of CNN:

(CNN)Two judges in Pennsylvania on Friday tossed a half dozen court
cases the Trump campaign had brought to invalidate thousands of votes
around Philadelphia, where voters carried President-elect Joe Biden to a
clear win in the battleground state.

In total, the Trump campaign had sought to throw out almost 9,000
absentee ballots because their outer envelopes lack names, dates or
addresses or some combination of the three that voters could have filled
out.

In five related cases, Judge James Crumlish of Philadelphia County's
Court of Common Pleas said the Trump campaign couldn't invalidate 8,329
ballots it alleged were improper. The judge ruled those ballots should
be processed and counted.

In another case, the President's campaign sought for the Montgomery
County Board of Elections to throw out 592 mail-in ballots where voters
hadn't filled out their addresses on the outside envelopes. Those
ballots will be counted, the second judge, Richard Haaz of the
Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, ruled on Friday.

Haaz found that state law didn't require voters to fill out the address
sections on the envelopes, and the instructions on the ballots didn't
tell voters they must fill them out.

"Voters should not be disenfranchised by reasonably relying upon voting
instructions provided by election officials," Haaz wrote.

The Trump campaign had said in court that it wasn't alleging voting
fraud in the cases -- just attempting to enforce the rules.
Though the ballots numbered in the thousands, they would not be enough
for Trump to overcome Biden's win in Pennsylvania, even if all were
Trump votes.

Also, Michigan judge rejects demand to block certification of Biden win
in Detroit and debunks fraud claims.

But...best of all, Rudy Guiliani is running Trump's campaign to
invalidate the election...perfect. I mean what could go wrong with
Bull****tin' Rudy in charge?

The error is not the fields COULD have been filled out, they MUST be filled
out to be valid. According to English majors, words have meaning.

Just look at how many rulings are overturned, to see how good judges are.
Or don’t words have meaning anymore?

I haven't read of any of these spurious attempts of Trump getting
anywhere in the appellate process, have you? I think I read that judges
in Arizona are telling Trump's lawyers to take a walk. Your boy Trump
lost, Bilious, and he lost big time in the Electoral College and in the
popular vote. I do hope some serious efforts can bet underway to start
getting rid of the Electoral College.

Hey, there's a small demonstration in DC of Trump protestors...kinda
funny to watch, because most of them apparently have no idea what they
are doing. Lots of white racist nationalists. Your boys Sean Hannity and
Alex Jones are supportive.

In two months and a week, Trump will be out. Good riddance.

Like it or not, the Electoral College is functioning exactly as the
founding fathers intended: It keeps the large population centers from
dominating the executive branch. You may not like the middle of the
country but the people who live ther are entitled to have a say in
things.

The EC functions as it did when this was a small, compact country with
an equally small population. I can't think of another "modern" country
where the head of government is selected by other than who gets the most
votes. I also don't think sparsely populated states should have the same
number of U.S. Senators as California, Texas, Florida, New York, et
cetera. There's no reason why the vote of an individual in North Dakota
should have the same number of U.S. Senators to access as an individual
in Texas.

Maybe change the way the EC voters are chosen. By congressional district
and the overall popular vote in the state gets the two senate votes.

The people do not elect the President. The people elect their Senators and
Congressmen. The state governing body chooses the electors. The state can
choose how they select the electors. The electors in most states, do not
have to vote for their candidate. California electors only have to vote
for their candidate on the first two ballots. After that they are free to
choose. For someone who claims a better education than any other here, you
are sorely lacking in practical knowledge.

Actually there is a reason - it ensures that all regions of the
country are represented equally - exactly as intended.
