You don't seem to understand what an aircraft carrier and the task forces they operate with are for. They are a mobile extension of our ability to defend the USA globally. They are not to go fight a nuclear war. Defend us from who? The Russians, the Chinese? The North Koreans? Nuclear powers? Venezuela? Anybody who poses a threat, regardless of where they are or who they are. It's a unique capability that no other nation has and many depend on ... via our NATO agreements. According to liberals, like Harry, no other nations pose a threat to the US. Russia and China are not spending money on weapons. Or are they? Of course they are. China is the world's second largest defense spender and is a major arms exporter. Some of the weapons technology is more advanced than ours. and according to Defense News: "Russian defense budget remains the third largest in the world, dwarfing the military expenditures of most European states combined." I wonder why? You reckon they just like having them? It is a jobs program for them too. Without their defense program, nobody would be going into space. We haven't had that capability since the last Shuttle flew. (2011) We wasted so much money on Carter's "Space Truck" that there wasn't enough left over for any kind of follow on program. |

China seems to be stealing our designs more than spending money creating their own. Clinton even gave them guidance for missiles. Any smart enemy knows now that all it has to do is unleash a biological weapon in a half dozen U.S. cities to bring us to our knees. I am just very thankful that people like yourself have no part in determining what our National Defense policies should be. Quack quack quack. You selling Aflac now? Didn't we have enough on hand to defeat the tiny countries? “ When you cobble equipment withÂ* canabalizedÂ* parts because budget doesn’t allow for new, you have results like Operation Eagle Claw. And that was a major turning point in Jimmys attempt for re-election Bull****. We don't need more warships, we need fewer, and fewer are easier to maintain and budget parts for, too. This country's infrastructure is crumbling, we have serious public health issues, we have dozens of other problems. Spending more on the military is not the solution.
