Default Hey, Harry ...

Now that I've calmed down a bit, let me explain why I
am so disgusted with the actions of Democrats with
regard to the stimulus bill.

For several days now, Democrats, Republicans, their
respective political pundit talking heads and leading
economists have been emphasizing the importance of
passing this stimulus bill. Due to the economic
crisis this virus thing has produced, even a vote
on Monday (tomorrow) was considered by some to be
too late. The goal was to vote on it by the end
of last week but, due to "negotiations" it moved
to the procedural vote today (Sunday) and the vote
on the bill Monday with assurances from both sides
they would "get-er-done".

During this time the public has been assured that
although there were differences to be worked out,
they were minor ... even Schumer said that late
last week ...
and they were confident it would receive bipartisan
support.

Things changed early on Sunday. All of a sudden
Nancy Pelosi leaked out that when the House reconvenes
they would submit a "revised" bill for the Senate
to consider. No mention of what the revisions are,
just a cryptic comment to a bunch of reporters.

Then the procedural bill fails. Surprise, surprise.

It's obvious what's going on. It's politics as usual
except they are now playing with the emotions, concerns
and semi-panic of an entire nation.

Watch what happens next week. Pelosi's House will submit
a bill that causes heartburn in every Republican.
It will include everything the Dems have been "negotiating"
for.

But now, if the Republicans in the Senate object, *they*
will be viewed as the bad guys in DC, not the Dems.
It will appear that the Republicans, not the Dems
are putting aside the fears, concerns etc. of
the public for the sake of "politics".

Under normal circumstances, this kind of game can be
expected but not for something as important and critical
as what the nation is facing right now.

That's why I was so ****ed. I watched the whole voting
process on CPAN-2 and couldn't believe what I was
witnessing.

Scum eating leeches ... politicians.

Meant "procedural vote" ... not "bill".
