Donnie, I realize you feel a need to suck up to your only BFF, but do you realize how stupid that post is? Do you actually believe that only 'good 'ole rednecks' watch the Super Bowl, or are you just calling anyone who watches it a 'redneck'? Considering who the teams are (LA and New England) the people most interested will not be rednecks. They are mostly urban democrats. Hey! === Hey indeed. There are a lot of New England fans here in SWFL, and a few non-fans as well. Watching Brady and Belichick pick apart an opposing defense is always interesting. --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com Isn't your area full of mostly Steelers fans? Not really but I assume there is a steeler club in a sport bar somewhere. I don't live on the Cape so it might be different out there. I really don't see any brand loyalty. It was just where they lived before they came here. Lot of Cleveland fans, ****ed that they aren't winning anything. If there is any unifying sport it is college football. You can get an argument started about the Gators and the Seminoles. If the Bulldogs come up it might be a fist fight |

I met Wayne a few times and there is not a speck of red in that boy. === I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not. :-) Being lumped in with Richard is certainly not a bad thing however. After 35+ years in the NY metro area, followed by 15+ in SWFL, I can say that I most definitely prefer the latter as long as I don't have to make a living here. Politically I'm most definitely a middle of the roader, culturally a bit of everything. --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com |

We could go next door and see some rednecks and based on the number of trucks in the field next door, it might be a bunch of them. These are old Georgia and native Florida boys who remember Ft Myers when there were cows walking around where Bed Bath and Beyond is now (Bell Tower). When I moved here cows outnumbered people in Estero and there were no lights from Gladiolus to Bonita Beach Road. |

The strange thing is, these guys are not that political and there is not a Trump sticker to be seen. They are far more interested in things that are actually affecting their lives like how the boat is running, where the fish are biting and whether it will rain. Yes I am happy that I "fit in". |
