Tell that to the Honda Ridgeline.
You guys are stuck back in the '50s. It's a brave new world out there.

Who ever called the Ridgeline a truck (besides Honda)?

Actually, and sadly, Don is right. Trucks and SUVs *used* to be
vehicles pretty much strictly built on separate frames and bodies, but
that has changed in recent years, and there are many more unibody SUVs
and trucks like the Honda...

I had a dune buggy on a VW pan that was titled as a half ton truck but
that did not make it so.

Not really. Â*Seems as if any station wagon body is now an/a SUV.

Yeah. Â*A Rav4 is a truck? Â*Heh, heh...

Yes it is, JackOff.
The new 2019 model is a nice looking one too. Check it out.

Maybe on an advertising pamphlet. At the most, is a compact station wagon.
What kind of frame does it have? Size of the bed?

Those 'nadians have some strange notions about what a truck is. And
they believe everything the marketing fluff (and salesmen) says, whether
it's station wagons or boats. Funny stuff.

Trucks are not unibody for one thing.

They have been. VW pickup was. But was a victim of the Chicken Wars with
Europe.

Many of the mid-sized pickups like the Canyon I have and the Toyota
Harry has are going to be of uni-body construction versus body on frame
in future models. GMC will switch when the current model is revised.

Claims are that with computer aided design uni-body construction can be
made as strong or stronger than current models with frames. The biggest
issue is towing capacity. The Canyon I have (with frame) is rated to
tow up to 7,000 lbs. It will be interesting if future models maintain
or exceed that rating.

It's not a truck. It's a variant of the Honda Pilot. Remember the
Subaru Brat or the El Camino?

Nice try.

Not at all, dummy.

Embrace it. It's the only thing you're halfway good at. It certainly isn't backing a trailer or making good boat choices.

~~Snerk~~!
I agree wholeheartedly and unequivocally with this post!

(Now where have I heard that before?)

+1!

I saw a Subaru Brat on the road the other day. Cute car.
