Wow!
Throw in some hillbilly music and some in here would be in Heaven.

Better believe it! We ate a lot of squirrel while I was a kid. Dad and I went squirrel hunting just
about every Saturday when they were in season. Always bagged four or five, which was enough to feed
the family. No fancy prep though. Rolled the pieces in flour, browned them in a Dutch oven, then
added some water and put in the oven for an hour or so. Mashed potatoes and squirrel gravy always
set it off just right.

"I'll bet they taste better than baby seals, don't you?"

No idea...never tasted baby or adult seals.
Seeing the flippers for sale on wooden stands on St John's waterfront in 1969 was enough to gross me out.
I'm a city boy...I want my meat either already prepared to eat or properly packaged on Styrofoam and wrapped in cellophane.

No fish cleaning for you, eh? I spent a couple years working part time in a butcher shop so a bit of
fresh blood on my hands isn't offensive. Somebody's got to kill and dress the meat before it gets
put in that styrofoam.

Remember? His wife cleans the fish. He's evidently a bit squeamish.

The problem is that you expect her to.

"Why would your wife clean it if you catch it?"

"Working together....I do the hard work and she contributes. Working as a team for the common good.
Got it ?"

Are y'all really that dense?
That's what I'm saying....we share the load. I catch and I'd like her to clean and cook so we both can eat.
What's so difficult for y'all to understand? I'm beginning to think all y'all southern boys spend way too much time out under that strong sun.

Don't 'think' Swill, it certainly isn't your strong suit.

Most men think of fishing as recreation, not work. He wants to have all the fun and make his wife do all the work. How can he look at himself in the mirror?
