We ate a lot of squirrel while I was a kid. Dad and I went squirrel hunting just about every Saturday when they were in season. Always bagged four or five, which was enough to feed the family. No fancy prep though. Rolled the pieces in flour, browned them in a Dutch oven, then added some water and put in the oven for an hour or so. Mashed potatoes and squirrel gravy always set it off just right. I'll bet they taste better than baby seals, don't you? |

"I'll bet they taste better than baby seals, don't you?" No idea...never tasted baby or adult seals. Seeing the flippers for sale on wooden stands on St John's waterfront in 1969 was enough to gross me out. I'm a city boy...I want my meat either already prepared to eat or properly packaged on Styrofoam and wrapped in cellophane. |

I spent a couple years working part time in a butcher shop so a bit of fresh blood on my hands isn't offensive. Somebody's got to kill and dress the meat before it gets put in that styrofoam. |

Was very good with Pasta.. |

"Why would your wife clean it if you catch it?" "Working together....I do the hard work and she contributes. Working as a team for the common good. Got it ?" |
