I am watching the Conspirator on Amazon (Robert Redford film about the
defense of Mary Surratt and My question popped up. In all of the
changing of names that have become politically incorrect, how come
they have not gone after Surrattsville?
I know the town had it's name changed To Clinton later (presumably
after the New York Clintons)
I am just curious in a town that is ~80% black, why the high school
and Jr High are still named after the people hanged for conspiring to
kill Lincoln. Is it possible they just don't know?
