They should ship some of their coyotes up to 'Airree's neck of the
woods sp that he can enjoy them also.

I am sure they are there if they are 40 miles down the road from him.

Is that based upon your scientific knowledge and observation of my
immediate area? While it is possible, I've not seen or heard - in 15+
years here -anything that would indicate the presence of coyotes.

Not my opinion at all, it is what Md DNR said about the deer and the
dead rabbits at my nieces place in Ridge. I assume you trust the
government agency in charge of managing wildlife in your state to know
where the coyotes are more than your anecdotal experience looking out
the window.
I suppose it could just be those packs of wild feral dogs that seem to
scare you so much tho.

BTW read and learn

I get the DNR newsletters. I've been walking the woods and trails around
here for a long time...never seen or heard a coyote. Rarely seen a dog
not on a leash.

Well that settles it then. If you never saw one, they must not exist.

Nah. They are lower than banksters. Not much lower. Spend and steal

In 27 years of lots of trips down through the Central Valley of California
to Los Angeles I have seen 3 live coyotes. Probably 20, including one
today that have been hit by cars. They are there, just not seen easily.

From my house to yours is about 45 miles. I've already mentioned the coyotes in our local park, so
his estimate is not far off.

Maybe you smell so bad that the coyotes won't go near you.

A quick google search indicates that the coyote population has expanded
state wide in Maryland since first observed in 1972. The fact that
Harry personally hasn't seen one certainly doesn't mean they don't
exist. He says his property abuts heavily wooded land. I am willing to
bet they are out there.

We've had coyotes around here for years and their existence is well
evidenced by the dead wildlife they leave behind. I've only seen one up
close and personal during the daytime and that was several years ago.
However, I've seen their tracts left in the snow and the results of
their "hunting" activities at night twice in the last year.

Default Speaking of Coyotes...

Coyotes adeptly travel the landscape undetected. They learn quickly that getting too close to people could lead to their demise. Recent research demonstrates relatively high mortality rates caused by vehicle collisions and hunting. Despite this, however, populations continue to increase and expand.

At the Department of Natural Resources, we have learned that when there is a conflict, such as a coyote attack on pets or livestock, it is usually the result of an individual or group of coyotes that has lost its fear of people. Once removed, the issues tend to go away, even if other coyotes are still known to be in the area.

State law allows landowners to trap or hunt a coyote that is damaging or destroying personal or real property on their land. Additionally, technical assistance is available to residents who have experienced a conflict by calling the nuisance wildlife information line at 877-463-6497.“

That’s from the Maryland site.

They’re thick here. 3 years ago I shot 3 here in town with a .22. All of a sudden people’s pets quit missing

They've been around Calver County since you got there. From the news, it seems you may have brought
them.

https://smnewsnet.com/archives/44302...l-bridge-road/

"They’ve been in Calvert County for at least 15 years or more.

A coyote’s diet consists of small mammals, like mice and rabbits. They will kill and eat deer as
well. Coyotes are very adaptable animals but a mixture of forests, fields and wetlands is a perfect
environment for them. They also will come into suburbs so Calvert County is a “great place for
coyotes” to live."

The garbage Fat Harry throws on his lawn feeds the critters
coyotes eat; if not the coyotes themselves. What a pig,
eh?
